Our Latest Review on Targeting Mutant p53 Is Now Published

We are delighted to announce the publication of our latest review article, "Drugging p53 mutants: Recent advances using small-molecule modulation strategies," in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.

This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in targeting mutant p53 proteins through small-molecule modulation strategies. It explores the molecular mechanisms behind these approaches, highlights the key discoveries that have shaped the field, and discusses emerging opportunities for the development of more effective therapies targeting mutant p53.

This publication is the result of a collaborative effort within the Medicinal Organic Chemistry (MOC) Group, bringing together the expertise of Maria M. M. Santos and Tomás G. Monteiro, in collaboration with our former group member Elizabeth A. Lopes. We are proud to see this work contribute to the growing body of knowledge in medicinal chemistry and cancer research.
